Toro Recruitment were fortunate enough to attend the Solar & Storage Live Event at the Birmingham NEC this week!
The event covers both UK & international markets including residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale generation. It has become the UK's largest renewable energy exhibition which focuses specifically on:
Solar
Energy
Flexible & Responsive Power
Battery/Energy Storage
EVs & EV Infrastructure
By now, over 4,000 visitors would have attended the 3-day event, which also hosted over 140 exhibitors and around 200 speakers!
The event covers both UK & international markets including residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale generation.
The day proved a success for my colleague Jordan and I. It was fantastic to connect with some industry experts and clients who are passionate about their own business' growth and the growth of the renewable energy sectors in general.
For us, gaining further insight into our growing client base is always valuable. It gives us a much more interesting picture to paint when we are talking to prospective candidates about where they could be working in their next role!
With the UK committed to reducing emissions by a massive 80% by 2050, the event aims to generate new solutions, connect industry leaders and help power the energy transition.
Also, with the emergence of Electric Vehicles on the rise, the event provides a great platform for discovering how this will affect the energy infrastructure, hopefully creating new jobs and new UK businesses opportunities.
We were also able to discuss a few really interesting hiring problems that some companies are facing. It was great to be able to offer some solutions to these issues and explain how Toro can help overcome these recruitment challenges.
